Say goodbye to RFA’s for pole warranty extensions!
Extended warranty finish options are now available for order without RFA, just like our steel poles. These options are located in the specification sheet ordering trees and can be quoted through the Acuity Quotes Department. Ask for the option VP33A for a 3-year warranty, and VP55A for a 5 year warranty. The adder includes the extension of time and enhanced paint and paint layers to ensure your pole continues to look as good as the day it came out of the paint booth. VP33A Finishes with 3 Year Warranty Extension
SURFACE PREPARATION: A suitable water-based cleaner is used to remove any surface soils. The product is wiped and blown free of dust immediately prior to the powder coating operation.
PRIME COAT: None
EXTERIOR COATING: Super Durable Powder. Super Durable powders are very similar to the TGIC Polyesters as far as their use, but offer better exterior gloss and color retention. They can be used as single coat systems over most metal substrates for mild to moderate exposure conditions. They offer good scratch and abrasion resistance. Most Super Durables will meet the requirements of AAMA 2604 for gloss and color retention. The exterior coating is applied to an average dry film thickness (DFT) of 3 mils. The coating is electrostatically applied and cured in a convection oven. The thermosetting powder resin provides adhesion that meets 5A or 5B classifications of ASTM D3359.
VP55A Finishes with 5 year Warranty Extension
SURFACE PREPARATION: All exterior surfaces are chemically cleaned using Altrex 305 and conversion coated using Bonderite NT-1.
PRIME COAT: Epoxy Powdercoat. Epoxies are used as a primer under various exterior durable top-coats. They add film build, corrosion resistance, chip resistance, and adhesion. The prime coat is applied to an average dry film thickness (DFT) of 3 mils.
EXTERIOR COATING: Super Durable Powder. Super Durable powders are very similar to the TGIC Polyesters as far as their use, but offer better exterior gloss and color retention. They can be used as single coat systems over most metal substrates for mild to moderate exposure conditions. They offer good scratch and abrasion resistance. Standard XD Finishes with 1 Year Warranty

EXTERIOR COATING: TGIC or Urethane Polyester Powder. Urethanes and TGIC polyesters are both exterior durable powders and have good gloss and color retention. They can be used in a one coat application over most metal substrates in a mild to moderate environment. They offer good scratch and abrasion resistance. All exterior surfaces are coated to an average dry film thickness (DFT) of 3 mils. The coating is electrostatically applied and cured in a convection oven. The thermosetting powder resin provides adhesion that meets 5A or 5B classifications of ASTM D3359.
