As a reminder, on August 19, 2020, Lithonia Lighting®, in conjunction with the US CPSC and Health Canada, issued a voluntary recall to repair for the CFMK bracket for the following CI codes:

Below are the steps to be taken if you have any of the products listed in Table 1 above in inventory:
- Please contact your local agent to request a Returns Authorization.
- Returns should be processed under the product recall classification code.
- Once processed, a credit will be issued for all affected CFMK bracket(s) currently impacted by the recall.
DO NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT – DO NOT ORDER CLIPS FOR EXISTING CFMK BRACKET INVENTORY – ALL PRODUCT MUST BE FIELD DESTROYED.
By initiating a Returns Authorization request and accepting credit for the CFMK bracket, you agree that you have field destroyed the product and will not offer it for sale.
SALE OF A RECALLED PRODUCT IS STIRCTLY PROHIBITED.

No. All CFMK brackets must be field destroyed.

1. Is Acuity developing a new bracket?
Yes, a new bracket is in development. The nomenclature will be changing from CFMK to DCMK for easy generation identification.

2. When will the new bracket be available?
The bracket is currently in production. We will begin resolving the backlog in February 2021 and will be able to service project and stock orders in March of 2021.
3. What do I do if I have an order in house?
If you have an order in house, please notify your customer the bracket nomenclature will be changing per the table above. When the new product is ready, Lithonia Lighting will convert all orders in house to the new nomenclature and begin shipping. Orders in house will ship based on a first in, first out basis.
4. What if I cannot wait for the new bracket?
If your customer is unable to wait until the March 2021 launch date, we are pleased to inform you that CPANL is now compatible with the SMKSH surface mount kit. This will allow our panels to be direct surface mounted with a total ceiling to frame height of 3.6”.
