ELM6 and ELM12 Converting to ELMLT

ELM6-12_ELMLTEffective June 1, 2015, select CI codes of the ELM6 and ELM12 will auto-convert to the equivalent ELMLT. Attached are the crosses for the Large Quantum CI Codes that will auto-convert to the ELMLT as of June 1, 2015.

Compared to the ELM6 and ELM12, the ELMLT delivers superior performance and technology. It offers virtually constant light output and uniformity throughout the 90 minutes of emergency operation while providing maximum spacings of up to 58’, which is better or equal to all Large Quantum lamp types. With LED lamp heads and a lithium iron phosphate battery, the ELMLT eliminates frequent lamp and battery replacements associated with traditional products which reduces maintenance costs and lowers the product’s total cost of ownership.

In most instances, the price of the ELMLT will be a cost reduction for customers accustomed to using either the ELM6 or ELM12 equivalents.

To continue ordering the select ELM6 and ELM12 CI codes to match existing units in the field, an “OS” distinction must be included at the end of the nomenclature to avoid auto-conversion. Prices of these products will increase due to lower volume and will only be sold while supplies last.

Business will continue as usual with the auto-conversion allowing for a smooth transition from the select ELM6 and ELM12 CI codes to the ELMLT. Any of the select ELM6 and ELM12 units ordered prior to June 1, 2015 will ship as ordered.
